The starting point
A complex process needed one dependable system.
A specialist higher-education provider needed to replace an ageing application solution. Its admissions journey involved more than collecting a form: applicants progressed through supporting submissions, review, scheduling, assessment and a final decision.
The administrative team also needed a clear operational view of each application, the next required action and the status of the admissions cycle as a whole.
The institution is intentionally unnamed. The process and outcomes are described without disclosing confidential operational or technical detail.

Long-term delivery
Built once, improved continuously.
Opriva’s established development capability designed and delivered the online platform more than ten years ago. It has since progressed through multiple iterations as the institution’s requirements, application volumes and technical expectations have changed.
A substantial recent redevelopment strengthened security, maintainability and development control. The system was moved into source control and a staged development architecture, providing a safer and more consistent route for testing and releasing change.
The platform remains actively used. It operated reliably throughout the most recent admissions cycle while supporting continued growth in application volumes. Opriva continues to maintain, secure and develop it in preparation for each new academic year.
